Circle – Sales Intern

The Sales Intern is a part-time role that is a critical piece of the Circle Team, providing sales and administrative assistance to the On-Premise Sale Team – helping us on our mission in Helping people find balance and feel good. One drink at a time. 

Key Accountability: The Sales Intern’’s success is determined by helping maintain and grow On-Premise Sales.

As the Sales Intern your normal responsibilities will be: 

●        Sales Activities: Maintain and Grow the Territory (Sales Activities):

  • Develop leads & secure new partner accounts to carry our products. The expectation is to add 2 new partner accounts per week.
  • Manage relationships & develop growth opportunities within existing partner accounts.
  • Assist with monthly sales reporting and analyze sales data to uncover trends. Work with Territory Managers to share these trends to drive sales growth and prevent lost business.
  • Assist the On-Premise Sales Manager & Territory Managers in miscellaneous sales and administrative tasks based on the needs of the team

●         Community Leadership:

o   Drive brand awareness via community and partner events & product demos. 

●        Collaborate with the Circle Team (Non-Sales Activities):

o        Meet 1:1 with the On-Premise Sales Manager weekly to discuss professional development opportunities to grow your career and bring ideas on how you can help make the role and company better.

o        Attend Weekly Staff Meeting

o        Participate in periodic retreats with the Full Time Circle Team

In a typical week you will…

  • Review and analyze On-Premise Sales Data. Look for trends in business to share with the Territory Managers. Identify  Aging accounts (those who have not purchased in “x” amount of time and reach out to them in an effort to eliminate lost business. 
  • Identify new leads and utilize HubSpot CRM to make contact and move through the Sales Pipeline. Goal is to add 2 new partner accounts to carry Circle products each week.
  • Attend & participate in Weekly On-Premise Sales Meeting on Mondays at 2:00pm
  • Attend Weekly Staff Meeting on Mondays at 3:00pm
  • Attend & participate in Weekly 1:1 with the On-Premise Sales Manager – day/time TBD
  • Complete other miscellaneous tasks by the request of the On-Premise Sales Manager or Territory Managers
  • Some field work (in your immediate area), dropping off samples, meeting with business owners and following up on existing accounts

What experiences are we looking for you to have?

  • Outside Sales Experience – Food/beverage and/or Retail preferred with experience in cold-calling, heavy activity in sales outreach with consistent and timely follow up.
  • Knowledge of CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to manage time and workload independently and effectively with little or no supervision
  • Persistent and Go-Getter mindset, remains positive under pressure and finds ways to “figure it out”
  • Proven organizational skills
